When I have read or listened to ways to get over the lack of motivation to write. The answer is to just write. Write something. Anything. Just make sure you write.

In a book called ‘Atomic Habits’ it describes how, just me, chugging through those boring times where you just don’t feel that motivation or excitement. That might be the most important time to write.

The book explains how, surely all those who become great at something must feel boredom of doing the same thing repeatedly to be able to put in the hours to master a skill.

The trick is to stick with the un-motivating or boring tasks. If we just keep pushing past that barrier that’s when things will start to improve and get easier.

I thought it was an interesting book overall but that lesson especially.

I mean look what it made me do, I wrote something didn’t I? All with no motivation…

All with no motivation…
