Yosemite Rocks again

Below is a short tale from when I visited Yosemite for the second time earlier this year… Enjoy.

Finally I get what Alex Honnold meant about the view from the tunnel coming into Yosemite national park.

It is breathtaking!

We took a different entrance to the park to the one I took before.

As a long half mile tunnel ends, you are bathed in the light at the end of the tunnel.

That’s when you are hit with the stunning view of El Capitan and the rest of the valley.

It truly is a sight that makes you gasp…

Then you have to grab the wheel and concentrate back on the road as you remember you are driving.

The valley is enormous it really makes you feel small being so close to the towering 3000ft walls of El Cap.

The roads wind and twist round from side to side and it feels like you are flowing down the valley as the trees rush gently past.

When you set off on the trails away from the crowds the clean pine forest fresh air delights the senses.

It resets the soul and you realise why this place has such a magical place in every heart that visits its blessed lands.
