Kevin had only just woken up when he rolls out of his favourite side of the bed and pulled the blinds back to just peak out into the light of the morning.
He might as well not have bothered. The smoke of the wildfires had engulfed his house. This would usually be a worrying event for most people but Kevin had lived in California for years now and the wildfires had become a regular occurrence. The world just kept getting hotter and Cali kept getting drier. Nothing to do but watch it happen.
He would do the same as he always did, put his smoke mask on and get on with his day.
