Trying2beVegan

This is the 1st Terry Pratchett book I have listened too and it very pleasantly surprised me. It isn’t my typical genre to listen too being fantasy fiction. But I have heard good things about it in the past and thought it was time to give it a go.

Terry Pratchett uses a great satirical sort of comedic writing in this book that really does poke fun at our universe by poking fun at the ‘Discworld’ universe that he has created in which the story is based.

The story of The colour of magic follows a hapless wizard who had dropped out of magic university and a lot of mishaps seem to plague his journey wherever he goes. Fortunately these are comical mishaps for the observer so it provides some good laughs throughout the book.

I will definitely be looking to read some more of Terry Pratchett’s work in the future and would definitely recommend you to give them a try especially if it isn’t your usual read or listen!
