61. Handle With Care: Write about a very fragile or delicate object.

When we stick ‘Fragile’ stickers or write “fragile’ in big red letters on a parcel or letter do we really think every person that comes across that parcel will treat that parcel or letter as if it will break, will fall to pieces or disintegrate if they aren’t extremely careful with it? Or do they just launch it down the same tube, onto the same truck and back into the same depot the way the rest of the mail I assume gets delivered. Or is there a special place in postal and distribution warehouses specifically set up to handle the fragile items that are shipped? Are they staffed by mild mannered, mild tempered employees who’s relaxed and calm nature rubs off on the packages as they pass them in transit?

Does anyone know if this is the case? or do they just get treated like the rest of the stuff that is sent? Maybe I am skeptical or is it just a reminder a subconscious reminder to the staff to be a little extra careful with each package a subliminal message to affect behavior. The choice architects making sure peoples subconscious are making sure these fragile packages get across the world intact.

Not really sure what this post would be defined as but hopefully someone out there would define it as entertaining. The first thing that popped up when I read the title of the prompt was a heart. However I thought I would sound almost mushy and cliche if I were to write of a fragile and delicate heart, waiting and searching, finding and falling in and out of love. Broken time and again to finally perish in the sands of time. But alas I steer clear of such a cliche and the topics around it for now.
